was born in Nelson, New Zealand in 1975, coming from a family of
talented self-taught painters. After leaving school, I went on to study at
Christchurch Polytechnic, completing Foundation Studies in the Visual
Arts. Being a passionate advocate of continual learning, I am largely a
self-educated artist and thrive on developing different abilities and
techniques; studying many facets of art. Working out of my villa home
studio in Christchurch, my work is bold and vivid. I enjoy painting mainly
in oil, drawing inspiration from living in a vibrant cultural city and the
unique people that fill it.
